Accidents can always take place inside the house. In the
effort to position a step ladder in the middle of the room to change a light
bulb, for example, the father of the house might trip and lose hold of the
ladder, which causes it to collapse into the living room window. A particularly
rambunctious pet dog might have been allowed to climb up to the bedrooms and
spend the night with the kids, only to go back and forth in the hallway and the
restroom until she fails to see the sliding shower door and hits it hard enough
to make a sizeable crack. There is also chance that when the family invites
some guests over to dinner and a couple of drinks, the combination of tipsy
weekend celebrants and large bowls of chips, salsa, and other treats inevitably
lead to a chipped glass table by the end of the evening.
